Valentines was sublime. Hearts and Roses. Missed out on the bubbly's this year and then almost, almost cracked open a sparkling ice wine only to remember it was still Tuesday! Ah, Jacquart, where were you when I needed you? There is nothing, and I mean nothing, in the wine world quite like having a bottle of chilled Champagne ready in the fridge door. In my world it never stays in the door long enough to be ready......
I had a great response to my blogs this week. Many hundreds of views. Thanks to everyone. Competitions are hard to win and it always seems to be the other guy who gets the prize, so I am grateful that you all keep trying anyway.
As you know I assign a number to each entry, put the numbers into the spittoon and then pull numbers from the spittoon until I get a correct answer. As it happens Jacquart seems to have focused your minds this time around as this was the first of my competitions through which I received correct answers from everyone. Unfortunately there can only be one winner.
