Dicover the Origin begins next week at the Westin Hotel in Dublin. It's an event well worth attending as it begins a fascinating roadshow through Ireland. I am the wine lecturer on behalf of the Wines of Burgundy and Aoife Carrigy will present the food side. If you don't follow Aoife's blog, Holy Mackerel yet then I recommend you have a look see.
Besides the quality of the expert speakers though, what is Discover the Origin?
‘Discover the
Origin’ is an established European Union campaign designed to raise awareness
around five Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) products:
Burgundy Wines
Parma Ham
Douro Wines
Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
Port Wines
Each product in
the Discover the Origin campaign is unique to the region in which it is
produced
– a gastro destination – and celebrated the world over for its flavours, history and traditions.
